Building Grumman Wildcats under designation FM-1 (first flew in September 1942), and Avengers as TBM-1. It is stated that during the War GM produced $12 321 789, 412 in war materials out of the total £29billion produced by the entire auto industry, equating to 41% of the total, highlighting their commitment to the US War Effort.
